Marc and Dawn have always been ice cream lovers. Whether it was a hot summer day or a cool autumn night, ice cream always seemed to be the one thing that brought happiness to the tastebuds.

Through all of their ice cream eating, they explored every flavor imaginable from chocolate to vanilla and everything in between.

It was through these experiences that they realized that they wanted something more flavorful and fun than the average ice cream shop had to offer.

Marc remembered as a young child eating a special kind of ice cream that his Italian grandfather would make. Little did Marc know that he would eventually discover the secret family recipes for making this ice cream that is known as GELATO.

It was at this time that Marc and Dawn found the recipes for GELATO hidden in a special trunk!! The trunk was brought over from Italy several generations ago by the Funaris^®.

Once these recipes were discovered, Marc and Dawn began making small batches of GELATO for friends and family. The word spread, and people were demanding to get some of this wonderful frozen treat.
